On Monday 14th March we had the pleasure of welcoming over 110 Cheshire WI members to our free Zoom meeting.
Michelle Beaver, a cardiac nurse and much more is mum of three with a career over three decades as a cardiac nurse on a Coronary Care Unit. Michelle talked about her career, how medicine has changed for her and her colleagues and why a family bereavement changed her outlook on life. She explained how working during Covid affected her and how she dealt with it. She told us some anecdotes about her early nursing career, experiences with patients and how grabbing life with both hands is the key for her.
She feels passionately that exercise is the key to mental wellbeing, and she will tell us of some of her charity challenges including climbing Kilimanjaro and how she’s even had a brush with royalty. Her various exercise antics on social media was noticed by the Chief Executive of the Trust which resulted in a weekly ‘Fit-Nurse Friday’ post.
