Susan Leicester presented a number of ways to upcycle a wool sweater  in an entertaining and at times hilarious way to 68 members.

Sweaters you no longer wear:​​pure wool ones are great for felting​
​​​​​​textured ones – aran, cables, tweed are great
Linings?
Buttons, decorations, notions, whatever
Wool, thread to finish off / neaten
