A HUGE THANK YOU
When I stepped down as Federation Chairman many of you kindly donated to a collection for me and as a result, I was able to purchase several lovely items to remind me of my term of office. They were a Radley handbag, silver necklace, bracelet and earrings. I collect Swarovski crystal and every year new items are launched and in 2020 it was a fantastic star which has a small gold star attached which is stamped 2020. I did see it in 2020 and had decided I was going to treat myself as it was a special year for me in the Federation calendar, and Cheshire Federation’s centenary year which was going to be celebrated by all our members. However, as we all know the pandemic happened, everything changed, and I forgot all about the crystal star.
When I was told of the extremely generous collection, I decided I was going to buy a piece of Swarovski to remind me of the extremely memorable years as Chairman. Once again, I saw the Star and knew that is what I wanted. I also saw a swan which added to my collection as I already had two smaller swans and the pen finished off my super purchases.
Thank you just does not sound enough to show how much I appreciate your generosity and kindness which has allowed me to have so many wonderful gifts to remind me of a position I was privileged and honoured to hold. You were all so supportive of me during my years in the job, but these gifts really are the icing on the cake, a period in my life I will never forget. I will have constant reminders when I look at my beautiful gifts.
Again, a huge thank you, your generosity it so much appreciated.
