Website and Social Media

Website & Social Media Committee

The Website & Social Media Committee helps WIs across Cheshire make the most of digital technology, while recognising that not everyone wants to be online.

Our committee brings together WI members and Federation Board members who share an interest in communications, social media and digital technology. We provide help, encouragement and support to WIs as they develop their online presence, while making sure there are still opportunities to connect and communicate for those who prefer not to use social media.

What do we do?

We manage and update the Federation’s website and social media channels, sharing news, activities, events and achievements from WIs across Cheshire. We also take photographs at Federation events, helping to capture and celebrate the many things our members get involved in.

We encourage WIs to raise their profile within their local communities through creative projects and competitions, including photography, writing and poetry.

We also organise digital training and information sessions. Recent Zoom sessions on Canva and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have proved particularly popular, helping members gain confidence and discover new ways of using technology.

Have something to share?

We want to hear about what is happening in your WI!

If you have an event, activity, achievement, photograph or story that you would like us to share, please get in touch. We are always looking for interesting and inspiring examples of the fantastic things happening across the Federation.
