What a way to celebrate WI Day
How about celebrating by opening a brand-new WI?
Yesterday we were absolutely delighted to welcome Flixton WI to the Cheshire Federation of WIs family.
There was a real buzz around the room as members came together to officially start their new WI. Although a couple of committee members were enjoying holidays and couldn’t be with us, we were thrilled to co-opt another committee member before the evening came to a close.
WI Advisers Wendy and Vivien guided everyone through the evening, with plenty of opportunity to chat, share ideas and start making plans for the future.
A huge thank you to all the Flixton members for their enthusiasm, positivity and willingness to get involved. It was fantastic to see such a warm and friendly group taking those first exciting steps together. Also huge appreciation to the Stamford Group Presidents and Alia and Vivien who helped and supported at the meetings in the early stages. This was definitely a team effort.
