Cheshire Federation of WIs Annual Golf Day at Hartford
Thirty-four members of the Cheshire Federation of WIs gathered at Hartford Golf Club last Friday for the annual golf competition, enjoying glorious late-summer sunshine.
Bramhall WI’s Gill Ridley-Fink and Julia Watson secured first place, with Gill celebrating back-to-back victories receiving first place for the second year. Her standout moment, however, was a remarkable hole-in-one — the first of her golfing career despite playing since the age of ten.
Runners-up were Susan Puffett and Lyn Shopland from Acton Bridge WI, whose strong play ensured a close contest.
The day concluded with light refreshments and a presentation ceremony, reflecting the friendly spirit that define WI sporting events.
