An Update on our Clean Rivers Campaign
A huge well done to our Cheshire Federation of WIs members who’ve been out supporting the Clean Dee campaign over the past two weekends. Together, we’ve gathered the surveys needed to complete the application to DEFRA for bathing water quality status for the River Dee. We needed 1,000… and we smashed it!
Our WI Resolution on Bathing Water Quality is all about reducing pollution and improving water quality – making our rivers safer and healthier for both people and wildlife. Thank you to everyone who gave up their time to stand by the river and in the city centre, chatting to residents and collecting surveys. You’ve done brilliantly!
