To make a mug hug
Here are some simple instructions to make some of your Christmas gifts.
I have written 2 patterns just as you would find them in a pattern book and listed what the abbreviations mean below. So you can now read a pattern.
Remember: you can do any pattern you wish, or play about and design your own.
Decorate as you wish and have lots of fun.
Use double knitting yarn and no. 8 (4mm) knitting needles.
- Cast on 8 sts
- K 10 rows casting on 1 st. at beg. of each row. 18sts.
- K about 60 rows.
4. K4 rows, dec.1 st. at the beg. of each row. 14sts.
- K2tog. K6, k2tog., yfwd, k to end. 13sts
- K 5 rows dec. 1 st. at beg. of each row. 8 sts
- Cast off.
- Sew on button to complete the mug hug.
- Give as a gift and stand back to accept the accolades and grateful thanks.
Use double knitting yarn and no. 8 (4mm) knitting needles.
- Cast on 60 sts
- K 6 rows
- K
- K4, p52, K4
- Repeat rows 3 and 4 9 times (ie 18 rows)
- K 6 rows
- Cast off leaving a longish length of yarn.
- Sew short ends together.
- Give as a gift and stand back to accept the accolades and grateful thanks.
