Literary Lunch 2025

Pat Sharp, editor of Cheshire News, organised a highly enjoyable Literary Lunch at Hartford Golf Club on Wednesday 10th June. A capacity audience of 160 members attended from all over Cheshire. The weather was glorious, and a Cheshire Life photographer was there to capture the pretty, colourful dresses of our members. Pat welcomed everyone and thanked Val Miller for doing the table flowers. Thanks, were also expressed to people and companies who had sponsored raffle prizes and to the staff at Hartford Golf Club who had been so helpful with arrangements for the day.

Following a tasty lunch the chosen speaker CAROLINE ENGLAND who also writes under the name of C.E. ROSE gave an excellent presentation of her early life, career and move into writing. Members loved it, asked many questions and were able to chat to Caroline as she signed copies of her many books which they would be going home to read.

Our thanks to Pat Sharp for her meticulous organisation of the event; to the Board of Trustees for helping on the day and to the WI members who so faithfully support the Literary Lunch year after year.
