Join in the nationwide celebration of action on climate change, taking place across the UK from 10th to 18th June 2024, and get some recruitment done as well. Your local library would welcome any WIs who want to take up a free space to demonstrate their climate crisis activities.
Take some hedgehogs made of books, or a display about Clean Rivers, or some recipes and samples of homemade preserves. Set up a display board about local environmental issues such as peat bogs or litter picking, with photos of your WI. Why not have a Pledge Tree, and display a poster with examples of pledges? CFWI can help with a copy of the Climate Card game, which sparks climate conversations with passing people, and a sample Pledge card with lots of ideas on it.
Make sure you take copies of your programmes as well!
