Come with the Public Affairs team on Wednesday 16th September 2026 from 10.30 am to 2.20 pm to the Lion Salt Works, Ollershaw Lane, Marston, Northwich, Cheshire CW9 6ES for a guided exploration of the site followed by lunch.  The town motto for Northwich is ‘Sal Est Vita’, Latin for ‘Salt is Life’.  This motto reflects the town’s long and significant history as a salt and brine-producing center; a tradition that dates back to
Roman times.
