Veronica Gough Chair of the Sport and Leisure sub-committee writes ‘The darts final took place on Tuesday 12 March at Winnington Park Club. 12 teams met to contest the final and in a very pleasant atmosphere most games were closely contested but the eventual winners were Moore and Daresbury and the runners up were Lower Withington. Well done to all teams.
My thanks go to Ann Clemett for running the event, Jill Beavan, Lyn Worrell, Ann Shakeshaft and Wendy Youd for running the evening and to Ann Daughtrey (our Treasurer) for presenting the trophies (as well as acting as scorer for her team all evening).’
