‘So if you want to see something really cool, we planted an Oak Tree on the last day of January 2020 to celebrate the Centennial of our Cheshire Federation of the WI. The Chairman, Jean Harding and Vice Chairman, Selina Prescott came over to say hello during the afternoon and witnessed our tree being planted in their honour.
We’ve planted it on the new (ish) path between Asda Westbrook and Sankey Valley just past the Westbrook Community Orchard. It looks a little brown at the moment but it is winter. There’s a plaque and everything! Go and see it next time you’re out for a wander and maybe even think about planting one too. We should plant plenty of trees for 2020!’
