Middlewood & Higher Poynton WI is the latest WI to respond to Jean Harding’s challenge to plant a tree to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Cheshire Federation. On Friday 8th November2019 a group of members assembled on Middlewood Way to plant a Stellar Cherry tree. Ed Pilkington (one of the Cheshire Rangers) helped to organise the purchase and planting of the tree, which we hope will provide cherries for birds and the public for many years to come.
