On the morning of Saturday 2 March we planted two trees for the Chairman’s Challenge and dedicated a bench to celebrate our 10th Birthday.
Thanks to our husbands and friends who helped to lay the base, secured the bench and helped with planting. The Parish Council agreed to siting our bench and trees right in the centre of the village looking out over the village green.
Stacey our 1st WI President and Rachel, our current President finished the tree planting.
The Parish Council and representatives from Groundwork and Tesco who sponsored the bench came along to watch and cut the ribbon on the bench.
We have created a lovely area for the village to enjoy
