The Centenary Concert held at Chester Cathedral on Tuesday 25 February 2020 celebrated the beginning of a very special year for the Cheshire Federation.

Members entertained with singing and readings and friends got together for a wonderful celebration of 100 years of CFWI

So pleased so many members attended the Centenary Concert in the Chester Cathedral today.
It was a delight to hear the Weaver Valley WI Group Choir, under Musical Director, Louise Dickinson together with members performing their readings on what being a WI member meant to them, the Ness and Little Neston WI ‘players’ and Alsager choir, they were all truly marvellous and so entertaining. It takes guts to put on such perfect performances in front on nearly 1400 members. Well done  to you all.
Thank you to everyone involved in producing a most successful Concert and thank you to all members who attended, for their support and kind comments as they left the Cathedral together with the lovely emails you have forwarded to me.
Dare I mention the birthday cake!! Hope you all enjoyed the delicious cake and a few of you did find the extra gift enclosed in the cake box.
Today was the first of our Centenary events and hopefully those throughout the coming year will be as successful and enjoyable.
Thank you again to everyone involved in the day.
