Members of Acton and Reaseheath WI have been entering national and county shows for many years and winning trophies. One of their members, Mrs Annie Robinson, kept a scrapbook and here are some of her awards and reports of the WI winning Federation competitions with their co-operative entries
Annie canned fruit during the war. They had a preserving station at Acton and Reaseheath WI. The Ministry of Food trained WI members to preserve surplus food by canning, jamming and pickling fruits and vegetables to help feed the nation
