Members are invited to WI House, 11 White Friars, CH1 1NZ on Wednesday 10th February 2027 at 2 pm to view a screening of  ‘The People’s Emergency Briefing’, followed by a discussion on climate, nature and Britain’s future, led by the Public Affairs team.

This fascinating film provides a clear, measured and evidence-based overview of the challenges facing Britain, from extreme weather and food security to health, energy, nature and the economy.  The initiative is explicitly non-partisan and supported by a wide range of organisations, including the National Trust, Church of England, University of Exeter, Royal Meteorological Society, WWF and National Education Union, among many others.

The nine expert contributors will be Chaired by Professor Mike Berners-Lee (climate expert) and include Professor Paul Behrens (Food Security).
