My name is Melissa Green and I am the General Secretary of the NFWI. I am proud to lead a diverse staff team of around 90 who are based in offices in London, Oxfordshire and Cardiff. I am equally proud to support the NFWI Board of Trustees; formulating and reviewing the organisation’s vision, values, strategy and policies.
Thank you for taking the time to visit this site. I can only assume that you have an interest in standing for election to the NFWI Board of Trustees, and I encourage you to do so. If you learn that you are not eligible at this time, I hope you will find the information you need to get you to that point in your WI career, and perhaps you’ll apply in the next election in 2023.
The NFWI is developing a new strategic vision to help shape the future development of the organisation. If you share this vision, joining the NFWI Board of Trustees also offers the opportunity for personal and professional development supported by inductions, formal training, and on the job learning. It further offers a range of new experiences, and from time to time, exclusive invitations to represent the organisation at special events.
At this stage of the process you are registering your interest and confirming your willingness to stand for election. All candidates must receive the support of at least one federation or WI in order to be shortlisted for the final voting stage of the process. Federations and WIs will be invited (by the NFWI) to support your application at the end of August 2020.
