8.9.22 – 21.53pm Sadly our Queen Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II passed away this evening with her family by her side. We all feel what an incredible honour it was that HM Queen chose to be a member of our wonderful organisation. She was the ultimate inspiring woman. We know that members across our organisation will remember her fondly and have stories to share.
“Heartfelt sadness goes out to Her Majesty’s family and everyone in the Cheshire Federation on the death of a wonderful lady. Our thoughts are with you all at this time. We shall miss her very deeply for the exceptional service she has given to us all and we mourn her loss to the WI.”
Selina, Federation Chairman

19.9.22 – A Day to be proud of – the Navy ratings and the pall bearers did a simply superb job. Heart in the mouth stuff at times. . The bands, the precision, the choirs, the crowds, the colour, the attention to detail were fabulous. Emotional but a very fitting tribute to our Patron. Hopefully the family can take time to grieve in peace. And finally, Her Majesty left a legacy which we can all aspire to.

The family released a new image of the monarch on the moorland, with the caption:
“May flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest”.
