Bayeux Tapestry Workshop
What a lovely day we had at Byley Village Hall for the first Bayeux Stitch Workshop! The Art and Crafts subcommittee and members spent the day stitching while learning about the Bayeux Tapestry.
We admired the beautiful needlework pieces created by subcommittee member Jane Percival, who provided an engaging introduction to the Tapestry.
There was also ample opportunity to make new friends, exchange ideas, and recommend craft activities and speakers. Our Chair, Ann Beckett, stopped by to assist with tea service and chat with members.
This workshop was not only a chance to learn a new stitch technique but also a wonderful social occasion. The fantastic subcommittee teamwork contributed to the day’s success, and time flew by, with many eager participants looking forward to finishing their Bayeux Trees at home.
