All lectures are broadcast live online as well as delivered to audiences at Barnard’s Inn and the Museum of London.

Upcoming topics range from What went wrong in Latin America? The failures of import-substitution by Professor Martin Daunton on Tuesday 9th April 2024 and Sustainable Energy in Refugee Camps by Dr Sarah Rosenberg-Jansen on Wednesday 10th April 2024 through to Twentieth-Century Divas: Julie Andrews by Professor Dominic Broomfield-McHugh on Thursday 2nd May 2024 at 6pm

A newly advertised event of particular topical interest will take place on Wednesday 1st May 2024 from noon to 1700 hours on Water Problems in the UK

It will consist of three debates, each chaired by independent water and environment consultant and Gresham Emeritas Professor Carolyn Roberts with invited guests, on the Management of Water Supplies, the Risk of Flooding, and Water Pollution in the UK.

Panel 1 (12-1pm) : A Drier Future? Climate Change and the UK’s water supply
Speakers: Professor David Butler, Director of the Centre for Water Systems, University of Exeter and James Curtis, Head of Leakage, Asset Strategy and Capital Delivery, Affinity and ANO.

Panel 2 (2.30-3.30pm): Is the UK doing enough to respond to the threat of flooding?Speakers:
• Professor Jim Hall, Professor of Climate and Environmental Risks, University of Oxford, Sue Illman, Landscape Architect and Winner of CIRIA Lifetime Award for outstanding services to sustainable drainage systems and Professor Paul Bates, Professor of Hydrology, University of Bristol.

Panel 3 (4-5pm): Britain’s water pollution, who is responsible?
