Woodford WI is a large group and there are plenty of opportunities for members to take part in activities outside the monthly meetings if they wish.
Subgroups covering a variety of activities meet during the week, some in the day and some in the evening.These include;
Singing for Fun, Darts, Bridge, Table Tennis, Walking, Entertainment, Gardening, Craft, Classical Music Appreciation and Cinema Group.

15th March Spring Supper at The Legh Arms Adlington 7:00 for 7:30 pm
11th April North East Cheshire Group Spring Meeting at Woodford Community Centre 7:00 – 7:30 pm
26th April Whist Drive and supper for our charity at Woodford 7:00-7:15 pm
10th May Woodford WI 79th Birthday Celebration at Woodford Community Centre 7:00 – 7:30 pm
6th June National Federation of Women’s Institute AGM Cardiff
19th & 20th June Royal Cheshire Show at Tabley
July Outing
15th August Woodford WI Garden Party for our charity
10th October North East Cheshire Group Autumn Meeting at Woodford 7:00-7:30 pm
25th October Autumn Supper Woodford Community Centre 7:00 for 7:30 pm
9th November Woodford WI will be holding an event for the centenary of the end of the First World War at Woodford Community Centre 10:00 am to 12:30 pm
6th December Christmas Party at the Deanwater Hotel, Woodford
Members are knitting poppies for November when it will be 100 years since the end of WWI and they hope to have a banner of poppies and to cover the hedge in front of the centre with poppies to remember all those who gave their lives.
