The Leisure for Pleasure sub-committee had their first meeting in December 2022. They now meet 4 times a year both on-line and F2F. Our aim is to offer and facilitate a wide variety of activities and events that will appeal to our members.
To date we have offered online Pilates for the first 8 weeks of 2023, 2024 and 2025 to encourage our members to get moving. Many have joined in each year.
We have seen events such as the Boat trip,Treasure Hunt and lunch back at WI House oversubscribed each time we have run it. We have organised Jigsaw Races, Ghost Walks, theatre trips and a Monopoly Race. In 2024 we organised CFWI’s first WI camp with 100 members attending.
In 2025 we organised another successful camp with 100 members joining in, many for the first time and once again we were very lucky to have such beautiful weather. Our Monopoly Race in Port Sunlight saw 125 memners from all over the Federation take the challenge and land on most of the locations getting to know the town in the process.
The team are about to embark on a fourth year of organising events we hope members will enjoy! If you would like to join us or have any suggestions for events email in, giving your name and WI.
