The Leisure for Pleasure sub-committee had their first meeting in December 2022. They now meet 4 times a year both on-line and F2F. Our aim is to offer and facilitate a wide variety of activities and events that will appeal to our members.
To date we have offered on line Pilates for the first 8 weeks of 2023 and 2024 to encourage our members to get moving.
We have seen events such as the Boat trip,Treasure Hunt and lunch back at WI House oversubscrbed each time we have run it. We have organised Jigsaw Races, Ghost Walks, theatre trips and a Monopoly Race.
In 2024 we organised CFWI’s first WI camp with 100 members attending.
