The Website and Social Media Sub-Committee invites all CFWI members to take part in our writing competition – ‘A kind heart can’t look away’, which has been inspired by the 2025 Resolution: Bystanders can be lifesavers.   The closing date for entries is Saturday February 7th 2026 and all entrants will be informed of the judge’s decision by email by Saturday 28th February 2026.

This is your chance to explore the role of the bystander — but we’re also opening the door wider.  Your composition can reflect what the heart means to you: kindness, courage, compassion, empathy, love or the moment someone chose to act.  Let your words give voice to the heart’s strength and conscience.

Your piece will be judged on creativity, emotional impact and relevance to the theme.
