When Year Three of Dee Point School, Blacon were selected to decorate one of the Christmas Trees on display in The Cloisters of Chester Cathedral, they chose The Women’s Institute as their theme.
They invited Cheshire Federation’s Chairman and Vice Chairman, Frances Woollam and Jean Harding to their school to answer their many questions regarding the organisation.
The children all visited WI House last autumn to work on their designs and learn more about the organisation.
We were thrilled to learn that the children won the Christmas Tree Competition and the Headmistress, Kate Green invited Jean and Frances into the school last Wednesday morning to see the children receive their award.
This was their third win on the run and obviously they were all delighted.
They received a inscribed green glass Christmas Tree which you can see Frances and I holding with a few of the children around us.
