The Runcorn Ferry Girls are organising a Carbon Conversation & Cake Event as part of the week of action by the Climate Coalition.
Friday 14 October 2016, 4:30pm, Churchill Hall, Cooper Street, Runcorn
We are holding a small but interesting exhibition of information stands about carbon reduction and climate change. Local companies involved in fighting climate change including our local wind farm and waste to energy plant will be there. There will be a stand about coral bleaching, with videos. There will be a stand about the effect of global warming on other countries such as Africa. We will be doing some fun crafts too, making little green hearts and “mini wind turbines” . Children will be very welcome and can join in all the crafts. We are having a Climate Change Tree for people to pin a little banner naming the one thing they cherish that climate change will threaten. We will serve some really good FREE cakes with coffee, tea and juice for the kids. We will be showing a screening of the Climate Coalition CD. Our lovely MP Derek Twigg has promised to come. Pop in any time during the exhibition which runs from 4.30pm to 7pm.
The Ferry Girls are registered on the week of action website for the event.
