Inspiring Women

Over the last 100 years all the members of Cheshire Federation of WIs have been inspiring in their own way. We are looking forward to celebrating the centenary of the Federation in 2020.

The members of all our oldest WIs in Ludworth & Mellor formed in 1918, Dunham Massey, Audlem, Barrow, Chorleton & Cuddington, Kingsley and Utkinton formed in 1919, which still exist, through to members of our newest WIs at Heatons Mess and The Willows at Sale have worked together to make our WIs what we enjoy today.

Some WI members have also given up their time, unstintingly, to help fellow members and have passed on their knowledge and experience for us all to share. Some have served as County Chairmen and Treasurers and on National sub committees. Some have organised the WI marquee at Cheshire Show, demonstrated and judged our crafts and represented us all in County and National events. Some have gone on to represent the WI in every walk of life taking our message out into the community
